Galaxy 8 Bixby Voice Recognition is Horrible! - Galaxy 8


Samsung has lost a customer (me) by its ill-conceived plan to win the Personal Assistant war with Google by making Bixby Voice not just the default voice recognition, but by preventing users from choosing an alternate (better) option - Google Voice. I have used the available tools to disable Bixby as much as possible, but it still appears when using voice recognition to respond to texts and emails, and it completely sucks! Its voice recognition is nothing short of unusable, and because I rely on this capability multiple times each day, it renders the Galaxy 8 pretty much useless for me. My next phone will be a Google phone, where I know that voice recognition will work as it is supposed to. If Samsung wants to compete against Google, it should do so by making a product that actually works as well or better than its competitor, not by disabling a customer's ability to choose a different app. This is a low-class move by Samsung, to which I had been loyal for years. I'm loyal no more.
