2016 Samsung 78 Curved TV - Picture Went Bad - Samsung Not Honoring Warranty - SAMSUNG TV
I called Samsung to have a Samsung tech come out. They scheduled for 4/10. Over the course of the next several days while waiting for the Samsung Tech, the TV started to get an additional streak (bleeding) and picture still did not work (Figure 2).
The Samsung technician took pictures specifically of the streak and indicated that there was some type of damage to the screen due to the streaking line. I stated that the TV was never damaged and we used care to set it up. In fact, the TV was handled with better care than the HHGregg representatives that loaded it into my SUV. Additionally, the streaking on the screen occurred after the picture was originally lost as evidenced by the before and after pictures. Therefore, the streaking did not originally cause the picture to go out. Reference Figure 3 for before and after pictures.

The Samsung tech acknowledged that there was no evidence of physical damage outside on the TV and said he would submit the pictures to Samsung. I was informed by Samsung shortly afterwards that, based on the pictures, the warranty would not be approved because the TV was physically damaged. What?
This TV was purchased on 4/1. Lasted 3 days and lost picture and has no signs of physical abuse or damage on any part of the TV. Figure 4 shows various pictures of the TV from the front and back.
I purchased the TV for $3,000 and Samsung is requesting $2,000 to fix this issue. This situation is completely insane. I am looking for Samsung to uphold their warranty on this TV and am disputing the charge until I get this rectified.
