Samsung Lemon AND terrible customer service - HE Front loading washer


I purchased a Samsung front loader washer in May 2009. In 6 weeks it stopped working - an error message appeared and the washer would not run. After two visits by the appliance repairman, it was up and running again (2 weeks later). Then it broke again in another 6 weeks - same error message. I called Samsung Customer Service for the third time and suggested that I had purchased a lemon. They agreed to replace my washer but completely gave me the run around on when I could one. I was 9 months pregnant at the time and couldn't really wait for 3 weeks to get a washer. I talked to several different customer service reps and not one of them followed through and did what they said they were going to do. No one ever submitted the claim for a return, no one ever called me back, and there was always laughter and so much noise in the background that I wondered what type of call center I had actually reached. I made multiple calls and had to check up on them every step of the way. Finally I called Lowe's (where I had purchased the washer) and they dealt with Samsung directly from that point on. That was the only way I could get anything accomplished. After another 2 weeks I finally got a new washer, but I will NEVER purchase any Samsung product again. I have never dealt with so many unprofessional people in my life. The customer service reps either aren't empowered enough to help you or aren't intelligent enough to complete the basic tasks of their jobs. Their are plenty of other brands out there who actually put some effort into their customer service. I would advise everyone to use any another company other than Samsung.
