samsung galaxy 5 active is not waterproof - Cell Phone

I bought 3 Samsung Galaxy 5 active last summer with the belief that they were waterproof through tv advertisement and talking to the workers at the store,my grand daughter droped hers in the snow this week and now it dose not work , I took it back to the at&t store and they wanted $200.00 to fix it because it had water damage. I paid insurance on these phones and they still wanted $200.00 to fix it. Now remind you these phones are advertised to be waterproof,and leads consumers like me to buy them for teenagers for this reason I feel like I have been mislead and I am a very dissatisfied customer .
